The best way to prevent infection and spread of germs, including the coronavirus, is by practising good hand hygiene, and regularly washing your hands with soap and water.

When a person develops cough or fever
While visiting a healthcare facility.
When you are caring for an ill person.
Use of a mask is not recommended unless you have symptoms or are exposed to ill person. If you do use a mask, please ensure you use it correctly or else the mask can become a source for infection. Please see the video for more information.

1. What is incubation period of coronavirus?
The “incubation period” means the time between catching the virus and beginning to have symptoms of the disease. Most estimates of the incubation period for COVID-19 range from 1-14 days, most commonly around five days. These estimates will be updated as more data become available.
